This album is inspired by the stillness of a Japanese Zen Garden. It relies as much on silence as it does sound, to create a harmonious collection of rich textures and soundscapes. Blowing Zen is a musical jhourney to promote enlightenment within the listener. This CD is an  intepretation of silence, stillness, joy, love and simply 'being', expressed through the universal language that is music.

Zen is a special place inside the heart, mind and spirit of the individual. On this album, Devakant expresses his own personal interpretation of Zen through sound and voice. The music on this album express much more then words can say, and this is how Devakant intended it to be. This CD is a magnificent accompaniment to play in the background quietly while you meditate. Allow the sounds and silence take you on an inward journey on your own quest to discover Zen.

Devakant, as a musician and composer, is inpired by what he experiences in life. In writing this album, he travelled throughout Japan immersing himself in this ancient culture. What he saw, felt, touched and heard, was all expressed through this album. Like all of Devakant's CDs, there is no computer generated or synthesised sounds on Blowing Zen. You will only hear organic instruments, voice and sounds passionately played by Devakant himself, as he intended for you to hear it. Listening through a quality stereo is the best way to experience this album. If you listen carefully, you will hear and feel something different every time you play it.
